Our Story
Hawtkeys began as a passion project born from a problem many creators face, managing multiple keyboard shortcuts across various software. Yash Chauhan, an embedded engineer, designer, and coder, realized the lack of affordable and accessible macropads in India. Driven to solve this problem, he decided to build his own.
Starting with a simple prototype, Yash refined his creation step by step, designing the circuit, soldering components, and crafting the enclosure. The result was Shorty Zero, a professional macropad handcrafted and designed to empower creators. At Hawtkeys, we believe in making tools that help innovators and creators do more, all while keeping them accessible, customizable, and proudly made in India.

Yash Chauhan / Innovator and Maker
Yash Chauhan is the 22-year-old mind behind Hawtkeys and Shorty Zero. As an embedded engineer, he loves building everything from robots and drones to mobile apps. Self-driven and passionate, Yash’s goal has always been to use his creative skills to design solutions that make a difference.
With a deep commitment to innovation, Yash has personally handled every aspect of Shorty Zero’s development—PCB design, soldering, 3D modeling, and final assembly. His vision is to create world-class peripherals that reflect his dedication to quality and functionality, all while cultivating a community of makers in India.
